James Jones defends Bears QB Caleb Williams amid tackles | NFL news

It’s easy to blame someone new to the game. Someone who is still learning the game world, the field world and the scrutiny of the global world. It’s easy to blame it all on the rookie quarterback from the Chicago Bears, Caleb Williams for all 10 straight losses Chicago Bears faced as a team.
Yes, a quarterback is responsible for the team’s losses as he must make split-second decisions, read the defense and execute accurate passes. But putting that much pressure on a 23-year-old rookie is very low for the NFL world.
Very few NFL players came forward and expressed support for Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. One of these golden-hearted NFL players was the former Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones.

“The O-line gets some of it, the receivers get some of it,” ratifies former Green Bay Packers WR James Jones

Is Caleb Williams the main reason the Bears lost what Josh Allen needs to do for MVP | THE FACILITY

Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones defended the rookie quarterback from the Chicago Bears on The Facility show by saying the following:
“ I played with a first ballot Hall of Fame, well two of them. Bret Favre and Aaron Rodgers. And I had the opportunity to play with a rookie, Derek Carr. When will the veterans help you? You know what I’m saying, like we’re going to put all of this on Caleb and they scored 3 points…they scored 3 points! It’s not all on Caleb.
The O-line gets some of it, the receivers get some of it for dropping the ball, stops in zone coverage, you have a dagger and it’s not somebody in the middle of the field? Where do we do it? Keep running, catch the ball and grab some yak and score a touchdown. A lot of it is on Caleb. A lot of it is on the coach. A lot of that is on the players around him.
I don’t want to put all of this on Caleb. They are a bad football team, as Shady said. It shows they are a bad football team and shows they coach like a bad football and where is the veteran leadership? When I was huddled with Derek Carr, I said, hey bro, we got 15-15 seconds…(clapping rapidly) let’s go, you know what I mean?”

Caleb’s big show of heart

After the loss against Seattle SeahawksCaleb says, “I’d say I’ll definitely take the heat for this one, just because of some situations that I put us in. Like I said, the sack that I took that I didn’t have to take, which put us – we were empty and I took a guy from the boundary. Just throw it over the guy’s head. I didn’t play well enough. I didn’t put the team in a good position to win to win, and it is what it is.” -via Bleacher Report.
