How to watch Boston College-Nebraska in the Pinstripe Bowl on MeTV

BC jumped out to a 4-1 start this season and earned a spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for the first time since 2018. The Eagles dropped three straight, then beat Syracuse, North Carolina and Pittsburgh to cement their first seven – regular season win since 2018. A win on Saturday would give BC its first eight-win season since 2009.

Saturday’s game will be the first meeting between BC and Nebraska in football. In previous trips to the Pinstripe Bowl, the Eagles fell to Penn State (2014) and Iowa (2017).

BC is bowl eligible for the eighth time in nine years and 32nd time in program history. Eagles are 15-13 in bowl games; their 2018 and 2021 bowl games were canceled and BC opted out of the 2020 bowl season due to COVID concerns.

The Cornhuskers finished 12th in the Big Ten, dropping five of their last six games after starting 5-1. Nebraska lost by single digits to Ohio State, USC and Iowa late in the year, but did enough to secure its first bowl berth since 2016.

“Obviously, I’m familiar with the Big Ten,” BC coach Bill O’Brien said. “Nebraska’s history in college football in this country is great. To be able to go (to Yankee Stadium), it’s a great opportunity for our guys. It means a lot.”
