Tennessee RB Dylan Sampson declares for NFL Draft

Running back Dylan Sampson is headed to the NFL.

Sampson announced his intention to attend the professional ranks in an Instagram post Friday. Sampson’s final college game was Tennessee’s loss to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff.

Sampson was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Year after rushing 258 times for 1,491 yards and 22 touchdowns for the Volunteers this season. He was ninth in the nation in rushing yards and fourth in rushing touchdowns.

Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, Kaleb Johnson, Quinshon Judkins, TreVeyon Henderson and Jordan James are among the other top running back prospects NFL teams will be looking at in April.
