Your first warning of a rainy night with more to come this weekend

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – An approaching low pressure system will make for a rainy and windy night in the Mid-South with up to an inch of rain possible for many areas, including Memphis. Another system will bring more rain and possibly strong storms to the mid-south Saturday, followed by a milder, calmer pattern to end the year.

TONIGHT: Rain with south winds gusting 10 to 20 mph and overnight lows in the low to mid 50s.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of an early morning shower along with a southwest wind 10 to 20 MPH and afternoon highs in the low to mid 60s.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a south wind 5 to 10 mph and overnight lows in the mid 50s.

THE WEEKEND: Saturday will be mostly cloudy with rain and thunderstorms. Individual storms may be strong to severe. High temperatures will reach the mid-60s with overnight lows near 50. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of an early morning shower along with highs in the lower 60s and overnight in the mid 40s.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 60s and overnight lows in the mid to upper 40s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 50s and overnight in the mid 30s. New Year’s Day will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40s and overnight lows in the lower 30s. Thursday will be partly cloudy with highs again in the mid-40s and overnight in the lower 30s.
