Hudson Meek, teenage actor, dies after falling from a moving vehicle

Hudson Meek, the teenage actor best known for the 2017 action film Baby driverdied on December 21 after falling from a moving car in Alabama. He was 16.

Meek was injured in the Birmingham suburb of Vestavia Hills on Thursday, December 19. He died two days later at UAB Hospital.

“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight,” read a post on Meek’s Instagram account.

Born on August 5, 2008, Hudson and his brother, Tucker, began performing at an early age. According to IMDb, his first screen appearance was at the age of six in the 2014 TV movie Santa Con. He accumulated 17 credits, including films 90 minutes in heaven in 2015, and section thereof MacGyver reboot, Brilliant and Found.

Lynne Marks, one of Meek’s representatives, shared a statement Thursday saying she was “proud to represent Hudson Meek.”

“I have seen him grow from a young actor in Baby driver to a handsome young man who proudly walks the red carpets of his upcoming projects. Hudson’s future as an actor was bright. He was part of the cast of a new movie called The school duel which won the Canal+ 50th anniversary award at the Deauville Film Festival in France this year,” she said.

Following his passing, the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship was established and will be awarded annually to a Vestavia Hills High School student.
