CeeDee Lamb is out for the year, but his shoulder injury is not expected to require surgery

The Cowboys announced that CeeDee Lamb’s season is over.

“Further examinations and scans this week on CeeDee Lamb’s shoulder have determined that his injury has now progressed to the point where he will be listed as ‘out’ for the remaining two games of the season,” the Cowboys said in a statement. “He will undergo a treatment and rehabilitation process for his shoulder (and) is currently not expected to require surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.”

Lamb injured his shoulder in a Week 9 game against the Falcons. He has played through the pain since, even aggravating it in the Thanksgiving Day game against the Giants and again in Sunday’s game against the Bucs.

Lamb played sparingly in the second half Sunday night, making 33 of 60 total plays, and he was ruled out for Wednesday’s practice.

Lamb is second in receptions with 101 and third in yards with 1,194 and has six touchdowns, making him an All-Pro candidate for the second consecutive season.
