Manmohan Singh passed out at home: AIIMS statement

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, 92, suffered sudden unconsciousness at his home and was taken to the emergency room in AIIMS Delhi 20.06 Thursday evening.
In a statement released by the hospital, he was treated for age-related treatments and was pronounced dead at 9:51 p.m.

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the death of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh92 years. He was treated for age-related medical conditions and had sudden loss of consciousness at home on December 26, 2024. Resuscitation measures were immediately initiated at home. He was taken to the medical emergency at AIIMS, New Delhi at 20.06. Despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was pronounced dead at 21.51.
A Padma Vibhushan awardee and architect of India’s economic liberalization in 1991, Singh courageously steered the nation through a critical transition and opened new avenues for growth and prosperity.
