Patrick Mahomes’ fiancé Brittany the Chiefs wanted top seed for Christmas so ‘we can have that baby’

Patrick Mahomes is ready to celebrate a Chiefs triumph with wife Brittany and their growing family.

Fresh off a Wednesday, Dec. 25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 29, joked in an on-camera interview that Brittany can go ahead and give birth now after he promised victory.

“I told my wife — my pregnant wife — I’m going to get her the No. 1 seed so we can have that baby,” Patrick said. “We got 1 seed.”

The Chiefs’ 29-10 victory on Christmas Day in Pittsburgh clinched the top seed in the AFC, guaranteeing them home-court advantage during the playoffs.

Patrick and Brittany, 29, share daughter Sterling Skye, born February 2021, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, born November 2022. The couple, married since March 2022, announced on social media in July “around three ” of parenthood with a baby girl on the way.

Responding to Patrick’s quote in an Instagram story, Brittany captioned a photo of the duo, “Always keeps her promises,” and added a teary smile emoji and heart.

Patrick celebrated the Chiefs’ win with his tight end, Travis Kelce, by opening two footballs filled with red velvet cake. As Kelce, 35, bit into the treat, Patrick quipped, “I’m watching my weight for the playoffs.”

Brittany, Sterling and Bronze of course agreed to the big game. The current Kansas City co-owner celebrated Christmas and the Chiefs at the same time and signed her Instagram Recounts a video of her daughter “baking and watching daddy” and glimpses of “Game day snuggles” with Little Bronze.

Reposting a shot from Patrick and Kelce’s cake-filled interview, Brittany wrote, “What an amazing Christmas!!!”

While Brittany couldn’t be in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, the Mahomes clan regularly supports Patrick at games in person. They recently saw the Chiefs’ Saturday, December 21st win over the Houston Texans. Sterling wore Chiefs gear and ear protection headphones as she cheered on her father.
