All about Draymond Jr., Cash, Olive and Hunni

Draymond Green may be a four-time NBA champion and one of the Golden State Warriors’ most vocal leaders, but off the court his biggest role is being a father to his four children: Olive, Draymond Jr., Cash and Hunni.

The power forward and his wife, Hazel Renee, each have one child from previous relationships and share two together. Balancing the demands of professional basketball with family life hasn’t always been easy, but for Green, fatherhood has become a grounding force and a constant source of self-reflection.

“I spend a lot of time with my family and my kids. It teaches you a lot about yourself,” he shared Andscape in June 2023. “You learn, ‘Oh, s—, I do. Like, I have to do it differently because they get it too.’ And then spending a lot of time with my children has taught me so much about myself.”

Green’s children are often basketball game, practice and sits with him at press conferences. The pro basketball star also enjoys celebrating theirs milestones.

“Being a dad is a full-time job for which you get no compensation,” he wrote to one Instagram posts in June 2019. “In the form of money anyway. But you will be paid with unconditional love, joy and happiness. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. My greatest blessing!”

Olive Jay, 10

Olive Jay was born on November 6, 2014 to Hazel Renee and former NBA player Jacob Pullen.

Green shares a close bond with Olive and has been involved in her life since he and Hazel Renee started dating in 2017. Aside from daily moments, Green and Olive have spent time collaborating with each other on fun projects like 2023 advertising to mark the tip of the NBA season in collaboration with KIA.

Over the years, Green has shown appreciation for their blended family. In honor of Olive’s 5th birthday in October 2019, Green wrote a sweet tribute to her on Instagram and said Hazel Renee and Jacob.

“My little brave heart,” he wrote. “I thank God for choosing me to be apart of your life. What a blessing you are and I thank Mami and Jake for making such a wonderful baby girl and letting me help raise you. You are such an amazing big sister and little helper. Keep being your smart little baby, we love you!”

Olive has an Instagram account dedicated to documenting her early years, including her mom’s baby showerher ultrasound images and first swimming lesson. Since then, Hazel Renee and Green have shared glimpses of her childhood, including her creative birthday parties.

The annual celebrations have had themes ranging from Alice in Wonderland to Trolls. For Olive’s 10th birthday, the whole family gathered at the Sloomoo Institute for one Y2K themed party.

Draymond Jamal Green Jr. – affectionately known as DJ – was born on 22 December 2016to Green and Jelissa Hardy.

Warriors fans are familiar with the younger Green, who has made several appearances with his father. press conferences after the match. As an avid basketball fan, Draymond Jr. also been seen watching game film on the sidelines and help hand out towels to players during the game.

For Green, getting his son to participate in the sport is meaningful and intentional.

“It’s the most special thing in the world,” he shared NBA in June 2022. “Growing up as a young African-American man with nothing, you go and you get all this success and you make all this money.”

Green continued: “My fear is that he doesn’t understand how to work, that he doesn’t understand the things that will come his way.”

Despite his father’s concerns, DJ is already carving out his own hoop dreams—ones that look different from his father’s path.

“He tells me he’s going to be a coach. Like, ‘Dad, I’m going to be a coach in the NBA,'” Green added.

DJ is already well on his way: He rebounds for Steph Curry and was allegedly destroyed when Klay Thompson left the team, but he is starting to shine in his own right.

“When we’re sitting at home and I tell him, ‘Hey, you can’t go to the gym today,’ he says, ‘No, everyone’s here to see me!’ ” Green shared E! News in April 2022 about his son’s growing confidence and star power.

Away from the field, DJ spends time with his father, stepmother and siblings at fun events, e.g movie premieres, family trips and birthday parties.

Cash Green, 4

Green and Hazel Renee welcomed their first child together, Cash Green October 2020.

The family displayed pink and white rose bouquets and gold foil letter balloons to celebrate the new addition to the family. Hazel Renee has described Cash as “frizzy, wild, free, loving and extremely bright.”

She shares a close yet playful relationship with his siblings, especially older brother DJ Their bond, full of love and typical quarrels, often takes center stage during their father’s post-match press conferences.

In March 2024, Cash walked up to the podium in the middle of the interview to tell his father, “Draymond hit me with the ball.”

Green paused to pick her up, calling her “my love,” while DJ quickly defended himself, saying he did it because Cash had pushed him. Green then asked his kids to hug it out, making sure DJ gave his little sister “a real hug” before resuming his interview.

It wasn’t the first time DJ and Cash stole the show. A year before, after a Warriors game in May 2023, Cash interrupted Green’s press conference, then her brother copied her. When their dispute was settled, the duo helped their father cancel his appearance.

Green and Hazel Renee welcomed Hunni Green in December 2023.

Hunni’s three siblings gathered with their parents for a pink smoke and confetti-filled party sex reveal in October 2023.

After her birth, the newborn was the center of attention and received hugs from Olive, DJ and Cash. Hunni later appeared in a photo shoot with Green wearing a small crown on her head.

Today, Hunni supports her father at basketball games. After a win in November 2024, Green went off track with Hunni in his arms as he greeted other players.

Soon after, in early December 2024, the family celebrated Hunni’s first birthday with a bee-themed party. The festivities included crafts, games, face painting and more.
