Overview of first warning

Tonight an offshore disturbance strengthens, onshore flow sets in, which will promote a round of light rain. These scattered showers will be possible, which is why our chance of rain is around 20%. Most of these light, transient showers will occur along I-95. Temperatures will drop into the low and mid 30s.

After an overcast start to Christmas Eve, the skies begin to clear as the day progresses. In the afternoon, we’ll be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-50s. For Santa’s arrival, we will mostly be ready and cold. Temperatures will drop into the mid-30s by Christmas morning.

Although cloud cover will increase again, Christmas Day looks dry and quiet. If you plan to spend time outdoors, temperatures will be seasonal for this time of year. They will top out in the upper 50s. Rain chances will pick up again in the last weekend of 2024.

Christmas Eve: Slight chance of a residual shower in the morning. Then the sky will clear. Highlights in the mid-50s.

Christmas Day: Cloud cover increases during the day. Under partly cloudy skies, highs will reach the upper 50s.

Thursday: A mixture of clouds and sunshine. Highs in the upper 50s.

Friday: Increasing cloud cover, becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s.
