Packers vs Saints Week 16 Second Half Discussion Thread

The Green Bay Packers have fully controlled their game against New Orleans Saints so far as they have a 21-0 lead with 19:07 of possession in the first half. Running back Josh Jacobs is the star of the show so far, getting 10 carries for 53 yards and a score and adding three receptions for 63 yards.

Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler, making his first career outdoor start, has completed all four passes and has a net passing total of 39 yards on 10 dropbacks. Not factoring into those stats is the sack-fumble he gave up in the second quarter. On top of that, the Rattlers’ final sack of the half pushed New Orleans out of field goal range, leading to a failed Hail Mary attempt.

Outside of a Foster Moreau screen and a throw over the middle of the field to him, the Saints haven’t been able to get much going offensively. Meanwhile, the Packers scored on their first three drives of the game and have scored just once.

As a reminder, Green Bay will punch a ticket to the playoffs with a win tonight. Hopefully the second half flies by.
