Saints vs. Packers score, live updates: Green Bay can seal playoff spot with Monday Night Football win against New Orleans

Last season, the Green Bay Packers were a wild-card team and nearly pulled off a divisional-round win over the San Francisco 49ers, which would have put Jordan Love and company in an NFC title game with the Detroit Lions. This season, after a pair of losses to the Super Bowl favorite Lions and also the Vikings and Eagles, Green Bay finds itself in a familiar spot — looking for a wild-card spot and a chance to make some noise in the NFC come January. Although the Packers have already reached 10 wins, playing in the NFL’s best division has not been exactly kind, with losses to these heavyweights, but the fact is that Green Bay is undefeated against the rest of the NFL.

That could spell some bad news for the Saints, who after a good start to the year (remember when this team averaged nearly 50 points per game after two weeks?) have come down with a thud. Head coach Dennis Allen was fired last month, and with interim boss Darren Rizzi pulling the levers, New Orleans is eyeing next season. With aging starters at key positions and uncertainty surrounding the future, it will be important to gain some momentum heading into the offseason for the players who will join the new regime next season.

The Packers can clinch a playoff spot with a win, while the Saints will look to play spoiler on the ‘Frozen Tundra’ with possible snow showers Monday night in Green Bay.
