Burt, the saltwater crocodile who rose to fame after starring in the 1986 film “Crocodile Dundee,” has passed away at the age of 90.

He was living at Crocosaurus Cove, an aquarium in Australia, at the time of his death.

Crocosaurus Cove said Burt had been at the facility since 2008 and became a “fierce and fascinating ambassador for crocodile education.

“His fiery temper earned him the respect of his keepers and visitors alike as he embodied the raw and untamed spirit of the saltwater crocodile,” the aquarium said.
