CeeDee Lamb passes Jerry Rice, Drew Pearson in win over Bucs

When he stood in front of cameras and refused to move his right shoulder, it was clear how much pain he was/is fighting through to remain available for the Cowboys as the season nears its conclusion.

“Right now it’s just about staying healthy and keeping my shoulder attached to my body — I’m going to be dead serious with you,” So right now I’m thinking about it maybe in the offseason or something, but I’m definitely grateful for the opportunity, blessed to be in this position and continue to do what I love.”

Lamb also passed Drew Pearson (489) for the fourth-most receiving yards on the Cowboys’ all-time reception list — continuing to pour cement on the foundation he’s continually laying as the latest worthy member of the 88 Club.

But wait… there’s… more.

Lamb also hit a milestone when he caught his 100th career reception to help the Cowboys cap a drive with a one-yard rushing touchdown from Ezekiel Elliott late in the first half, stretching to a 20-7 lead against the Buccaneers, but here’s what’s even more impressive:

He did so after hauling in a 56-yard catch from Cooper Rush and then leaving the game after his injured shoulder was landed on by a defender, officially receiving an injury designation of questionable and immediately reentering the game to deliver the 100th career reception and what appeared to be a touchdown initially but was overturned on review.

“I really scored,” he said with a smile. “But yeah, my shoulder is out. I’m not even going to lie to you. I’m just out there fighting and doing what I have to do.”

There’s toughness, and then there’s CeeDee Lamb.
