5. Defense makes plays

The Bills defense held the Patriots from scoring in the third quarter, forcing two takeaways from the Patriots offense.

After the Cook touchdown, the Patriots turned the ball over on a two-play drive. DE Greg Rousseau forced a Stevenson fumble and LB Dorian Williams recovered the football. The turnover resulted in a K Tyler Bass 50-yard field goal that gave the Bills the lead for the first time in the game.

On the Patriots’ ensuing drive, Maye and the offense moved down the field and found themselves in the red zone at the Bills’ 16-yard line.
