Colin Jost & Michael Che ‘Joke Swap’ with Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson has admitted how much she fears her husband Colin Jost and his Weekend update co-host Michael Che’s popular Joke Swap segment, where each can read jokes written by the other, unseen.

Once again, Jost was forced to make jokes about Johansson — and this time, viewers could see her reaction from backstage. (Jonansson was one of several members of Saturday Night Live‘s Five-Timers club, appearing in the Cold Open to introduce the evening’s host Martin Short.)

Jost and Che traditionally humiliate each other in the segment, but they took it to the next level this time with a ton of highly inappropriate jokes as Jost was forced to read his “in black voice,” starting with a dig at slavery.

The audience — and Jost — knew a Johansson joke was coming, and when her picture appeared, it was met with a mix of cheers and groans from the audience and a “why?!” by Jost. He dedicated the line “to my bid, Scarlett Johannson,” noting that she just celebrated her 40th birthday, “which means I’m about to get out of there!”

There was more.

“We just had a baby together and you haven’t seen any pictures of him yet – because he’s black as hell!”

The Johanssons were seen shaking their heads in disbelief backstage. It turned into a shocker when a THIRD joke was made at her expense by Jost — and it did very Rated R.

Referring to Costco’s recent decision to remove the roast beef sandwich from the menu, Jost said he has been “eating roast beef every night since my wife had the baby,” adding, “Nah, no, I’m just playing baby, you know I don’t go to town… It’s fucking gay!” Practice!

Che didn’t come through the joke exchange unscathed either.

He attributed the box office success to Moana 2 to the fact that “as me and my good friend Jeffrey Epstein used to say, there’s nothing like an island adventure with a teenage girl,” before adding “I’m just kidding, I would never ever sleep with a girl that dark like Moana.”

By the time Jay-Z’s photo was shown later in the segment, Che was full of “no man, no, no, no.” He went on to address the rape allegations against both Jay-Z and Diddy, telling the latter that “we’re Bad Boys for life” and that “I’ll say the same thing I always said at your parties: I’ll help get you off.”

Jonahsson talked about the Joke Swap that Jost and Che typically do at Christmas and end of the season SNLin an interview in July.

“We have to go into witness protection after that night,” she joked. “Like, I’m totally scared we’re going to be targeted. It’s that bad. I blacked out during that period of the night. I don’t — I don’t actually remember.”
