Here are the gifts that each free reward contains

It’s that time of year again. Fortnite has kicked off the holiday season with its annual Winterfest event, and a feature that was missing last year has returned. Players can find a stack of Christmas presents to unwrap in the Winterfest Lodge, a cozy cabin decorated for the holiday season.

Each gift contains different cosmetic rewards, free for all players, from Contrails to Pickaxes and even a few festive skins, including the Snoop Dogg skin above. Players can tear the wrapping paper off a gift per day during the Winterfest 2024 event.

There is a lot to unpack. Let’s take a look at what’s in each gift, but if you prefer it to be a surprise, you should obviously avoid reading any further. Each of these gifts is “from” different Fortnite NPC, such as Sgt. Winter and Guffma’s tree. How sweet of them to think of us this Christmas.

Fortnite Winterfest gifts

We start with the stack of gifts on the right side of the sofa next to where Snoop Dogg is sitting and playing Fortnite.

• The Tall Pink Purple Gift: Peppermint Paraglider Glider
• The high gift with the blue bow: Yule Bag Back Bling
• The tall red gift: Snow Sparkle Contrail
• The square purple gift: It’s Cold Jack! Back Bling
• The long blue gift: Dogg Treat hoe

• Tall yellow gift on the left: Snoop’s Holladizzle Bass (Bass Guitar)
• High Green Gift: Yule Jacket (Leather)

The final gift, a yellow box in the middle, is the Snoop Dogg skin. However, you won’t be able to find the gift until later in the event. You also can’t open the Yulejacket skin yet – when you try it will tell you “Save for last!”

You can also turn off the neon llama sign occasionally in the Lodge and warm up by the fire, where you can also earn XP passively.

The Mariah Carey skin, the Santa Shaq skin, and many other holiday cosmetics are available in the Fortnite Item Shop. You have until January 7th to unwrap all these gifts and join the festivities in the wildly popular Battle Royale game.

Call of Duty is running its own Christmas event right now with a range of free rewards earned by collecting Archies in matches. Many players accidentally got many thousands of these at the start of the event (I had close to 35,000), making it super easy to unlock everything right away, including a brand new sniper rifle. Perhaps this is Activision’s way of apologizing for the rampant cheating that has plagued it War zone lately.
