‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ – New images tease a ‘Jaws’ vibe

Cinema’s most iconic dinosaurs return to the big screen in Jurassic World Rebirth next summer, and director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, The creator) is responsible this time. The plan? To trim back the visual effects-heavy spectacle a bit and return to the vibes of the original Jurassic Parkas Edward describes in a new chat with Weekly entertainment.

In addition, the store has shared four brand new images from the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirthand introduces us to the trio of protagonists who bring a Jaws mood for the film.

Edwards explains to EW, “For me, it’s a huge love letter to Steven Spielberg and his previous films. There are moments in this movie that remind me a lot Jaws. It’s like little greatest hits of all the aspects of his movies that I loved growing up as a kid. It’s basically a little adventure odyssey across this island, a story of survival, really.”

The site goes on to describe in their own words: “Edwards compares the trio’s dynamic to Brody, Hooper and Quint from Jawsplayed in the 1975 Spielberg classic by Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw – various individuals hunting a prehistoric creature.”
