Fans react hilariously to first look at Gareth Edwards’ ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’

Stills from Gareth Edwards’ Jurassic World: Rebirth goes viral on the web and draws different reactions from many. In these photos, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali and Scarlett Johansson can be seen in a world where dinosaurs have come back to life, and fans can’t help but get excited – or poke fun.

In one image, for example, three men, including Ali, look at the sky in awe. One user pointed out that there was no reason for them to be happy since they probably didn’t know what was needed for them. Here’s another funny reaction:

“Nice color gradation.”

In even more detail:

“They can release a Jurrasic World movie every year, I would never tire of this franchise!” a user responded.

“Let me guess some genetic engineering that will rival the genetic engineering that took place in the last few sequels,” another said jokingly.

“Blade, Black Widow and Legion crossover,” another added.

“Gee, it sure would be cool to see some dinosaurs from the dinosaur movie,” a fourth user commented.

The comments didn’t end there:

“Scarlett Johansson, enough said. Let me know the date and time and I’ll be there at the theater.” informed a user.

“Never mind all that. Is the T-rex finally going to die in this one??” one user jokingly asked.

“OMG MORE DINOSAURS,” someone exclaimed.

Score online were happier with Scarlett Johannson joining the Gareth Edwards film, if anything.

Gareth Edwards says his upcoming Jurassic World the film is a giant love letter to his predecessor, Steven Spielberg

As for how they shot the upcoming film, Gareth Edwards told Entertainment Weekly in an exclusive interview:

“I’m allowed to say it now that we’re on the other side of it, but we were shooting in rivers and these mangrove swamps. When we scouted for them, we saw venomous water snakes, massive, that we had to catch. We kept it quiet from the actors as they spent a whole day wading through the same area. And there were giant spiders that were poisonous and things on the edge of the trees if you saw them just keep going!

He went on to refer to the latest installment in the Jurassic World franchise as a “love letter” to Steven Spielberg. Here is what he said:

“I can’t speak for Universal, but it kind of felt like a new trilogy. I’m not sure what their plans are, but it felt like the beginning of a whole new chapter in this franchise. To me, it’s a huge love letter to Steven Spielberg and his previous films There are moments in this film that remind me a lot Jaws. It’s like little greatest hits of all the aspects of his movies that I loved growing up as a kid. It’s basically a little adventure odyssey across this island, a story of survival, really.”

As for what to expect in the Gareth Edwards film, it takes place five years after the end of Dominion where dinosaurs and humans co-existed. But the creatures are now dying out, as the current Earth is inhospitable.

The catch, however, is that the three largest dinosaurs on earth, sea and air contain coveted genetic makeup that can be harvested to create life-saving medicine for humanity.

In Gareth Edwards’ film, Scarlett Johansson will embody the role of Zora Bennett, while Mahershala Ali will play Duncan Kincaid. Bailey will be a paleontologist, Dr. Henry Loomis.
