Today’s theme was obvious, but for a fleeting moment I thought the Strands might be paying homage to the Northern Soul musical movement of the 1970s whose slogan was Keeping The Faith.

Something of an anomaly in the history of British music, the scene was centered around a handful of SACRED SPACES (nightclubs) in northern English towns, which spent all night playing rare soul records – and the rarer the better. Despite being relatively short-lived, it had a huge legacy, thanks to the music and the passion and fervor of its followers.

Okay, Strands done, I’m going to go listen to Stained love.
