The Hall of Presidents at the Magic Kingdom is scheduled to close at the end of January, which will likely update the show after the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Updating of the chairman’s hall is planned

Although no closure notice has been published on Walt Disney World websitethe calendar shows no hours for The Hall of Presidents beginning Monday, January 20, 2025 – Inauguration Day.

As we previously reported, with Donald Trump’s election victory, he will be the first Hall of Presidents animatronic to be moved back to center stage. Trump is only the second president ever to be elected to two non-consecutive terms and the first since the opening of The Hall of Presidents. The Joe Biden animatronic will be moved out of the central position to a different location on the stage.

The Hall of Presidents, which features Audio-Animatronics of all US Presidents, opened with the Magic Kingdom in 1971. It has periodically closed to accommodate new animatronics as new presidents take office. Every president since Bill Clinton has lent their voice to the show.

When President Trump was elected in 2016, he took the oath of office and a speech for the attraction. We don’t know if Disney will reuse its previous recording, request a new one, or completely remove the acting president’s speaking role.

Whatever changes take place should take less time than Trump’s first addition to the show, which took 11 months.

That being said, there are always rumors that The Hall of Presidents will close permanently due to political tensions. Disney has not announced or ever suggested a permanent closure. The calendar on the Walt Disney World website is currently only available through February 16, and the show is listed as closed through that date.
