Wausau, DCE school districts among many closures ahead of snow on Thursday

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Wausau and DC Everest school districts announce that schools will be closed on Thursday due to the upcoming snowfall during the day.

Some schools will still have a virtual learning day, including NTC and the Colby School District. Be sure to check the status of your respective school or company.

In a statement, WSD says, “This decision was made in consultation with the National Weather Service, local meteorologists and other local school districts. We have learned that while conditions and roads will likely be fine early in the morning, they will quickly deteriorate as the storm is moving in. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of you, your students and our staff.”
