New Bedford Police are investigating shooting at Taco Bell

NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) – New Bedford Police are investigating after a man was shot at the Taco Bell on Coggeshall Street early this morning.

Police confirmed to WBSM that shortly before 8 p.m., the officers 1 a.m. responded to the restaurant in response to shots fired.

They arrived to find a male victim suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

New Bedford Police Assistant Deputy Chief Scott Carola said detectives have now taken over the investigation, which he said is “very active at this time.”
