Louisville volleyball scores today: UofL-Pitt, NCAA Final Four

Louisville Volleyball is one win away from its second national championship game since 2022, but it needs to come through Pitt in NCAA Tournament Final Four today.

“We have so much respect for Pitt. They make us better and we hopefully make them better because we push each other every year in the conference,” Anna DeBeer said. “It’s such a great rivalry. Everyone’s saying it could be one of the biggest. They’re just a great team to play. So we’re really excited to see how it goes.”

Pitt (33-1) ranks first nationally in hitting percentage (.332) and opponent hitting percentage (.127), while ranking in the top 10 in blocks per game. sets (2.87) and aces/sets (1.97).

The Cardinals are on a 4-0 run.

Babcock just recorded her 26th kill of the game and the Panthers lead 23-19.

The Panthers are on a 3-1 run after back-to-back kills by Stafford.

The Cardinals are on a 5-0 run with a 12-10 lead in the set.

Louisville has tied the set at 10 after an attack error by Babcock.

The Cardinals battled back and won the second set 25-23.

The Cardinals are up 24-23 after a kill by Charitie Luper.

Anna DeBeer recorded her sixth kill of the match to help the Cardinals take a two-point lead.

Louisville is up 12-11 and has its first lead of the second set on an attack error by Valeria Vazquez Gomez.

Babcock has 13 of her team’s 28 kills and the Panthers have an 11-8 lead.

Pitt starts the second set with a 4-0 lead.

The Panthers won the first set 25-21. They hit .373 and Babcock had a match high nine kills.

The Cardinals are up 3-0, but still trail 24-20 in the first set.

The Panthers have a 20-16 lead and are hitting .405.

Torrey Stafford has led the Panthers’ offense; she has six kills and is hitting .600.

It was back and forth to start the match, but Pitt was able to take a 12-10 lead after a kill by Olivia Babcock.
