Broncos-Chargers TNF open thread: Lines and picks for tonight’s game

Week 16 in the NFL kicks off with a big AFC West matchup that has some playoff implications on the line as Denver Broncos put on Los Angeles Chargers.

The Broncos enter the contest at 9-5 and own the six-seed or second Wild Card spot in the AFC standings. Meanwhile, the Chargers are a game behind at 8-6 and clinging to the final playoff spot in the conference. So whichever team wins this game will have a significant advantage when it comes to seeding next month, as the winner will likely avoid Buffalo Bills in the first round.

This is your place to discuss the game with other Las Vegas Raiders fans and any gambling choices you have as the lines below are provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

Broncos vs. Chargers

  • Spread: LAC -2.5
  • O/U: 41.5
  • LAC ML: -154
  • THE ML: +130

Holder’s Choice: DEN +2.5, Over 41.5, DEN ML

While the Chargers won the first matchup back in Week 6, they have cooled significantly since then. Los Angeles has lost three of its last four games (two in a row) with the one win coming against Atlanta, and the team was just demolished by Tampa Bay last Sunday. Meanwhile, the Broncos are trending in the opposite direction with four straight wins. So I’m rolling with the hot hand in this one.

Before damage reportThe Chargers have ruled tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) and cornerback Cam Hart (concussion) out, while cornerback Elijah Molden (knee) is questionable. The Broncos will be without Riley Moss (knee) and running back Jaleel McLaughlin (quad).
