Frito-Lay issues a recall on Lay’s potato chips

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Snack giant Frito-Lay issued a recall for certain bags of Lay’s potato chips.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a recall issued by Frito-Lay on December 18 regarding certain bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips.

The recall was issued after the company was notified that certain 13-ounce bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips may contain undeclared milk.

The FDA noted that people with milk allergies or sensitivities “run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product.”

The specific recalled product is 13 ounce bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips with UPC 2840031041, “Guaranteed Fresh” date February 11, 2025 and either production code 6462307xx or 6463307xx.

The FDA said those who purchased the recalled product can call Frito-Lay customer service at 1-800-352-4477.
