Heartbreaking moment Amanda Holden breaks down in tears live on air after emotional message

AMANDA Holden broke down in tears during her radio show today after emotional messages from listeners.

She and Heart Radio co-host Jason King couldn’t fight their emotions as they acted out comments to nine-year-old Harry.

Amanda and JK told listeners about Harry during last night’s show, explaining how a tumor was found at the back of his brain last year.

Harry has battled the cancer for a year and received chemotherapy after it spread to his spinal cord.

And today, Amanda and JK played messages of support from his friends and teachers.

He was described as an “absolute star” by a teacher and a friend added: “I was just shocked to hear the news and just… why does this have to happen to him?

“Brain tumors don’t happen very often, but they are going to happen to him. Harry, I can’t wait to play with you soon.”

Amanda, JK, Harry and his mother sobbed after hearing the nice words of support.

And Amanda said, “Oh wow, we’re all crying here, every single person in the studio.

“What an incredible group of friends and teachers you have, what a lucky boy.”

JK added: “It’s so lovely to see your response to it when all your friends said ‘hi’ and you smiled.

“And (I’m) also a little bit emotional because you love them so much and they love you, they really do.”

Amanda and JK were no doubt reflecting on their own experiences with cancer after her regular co-host Jamie Theakston was diagnosed with stage 1 throat cancer earlier this year.

JK fills in for Jamie during his treatment, and he previously sent a defiant message to fans.

He said: “So – I have cancer – but cancer doesn’t have me. The prognosis is very positive.”
