Santa Claus must deliver presents to five houses with a Christmas themeeach belonging to a legendary holiday character. Every house has one chimney in different sizesand each gift has a specific size that only fits into certain chimneys.

The houses:

  1. Frosty’s Snow Fort
  2. The Grinch’s Lair

  5. Krampus’ Castle

Chimney sizes (one per house):

  • Fight
  • Great
  • Medium
  • Small
  • Small

Gift sizes:

Clues to solve the puzzle:

  1. The Very large gift cannot fit Medium or smaller chimneys.
  2. The Grinch’s Chimney is bigger than Frosty’s but less than Joakim’s.
  3. The Small gift fits perfectly Frosty’s chimney.
  4. The Very small gift can only fit in Krampus’ chimney.
  5. Rudolph’s Chimney is Medium size.
  6. The Great gift cannot fit Krampus’ chimney.
  7. Scrooge hair largest chimney.

Objective: Determine which chimney size belongs to each character and match the correct gift to the corresponding house.

Word analysis

Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.

SPARE got things off to a bit of a rough start today with 287 possible solutions left. INLET cut it down to just 6 and Wordle Bot told me that was exactly the word it would have chosen. I got lucky on my third guess, picking HEFTY (again, exactly what the Wordle Bot would have picked according to the Bot) and got the win!

Competitive Wordle Score

I get 1 point for guessing in three, and since the Bot took four tries, I get another point for winning. 2 points for me! Huzzah!

How to play Competitive Wordle

  • Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 point; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing Wordle is -3 points.
  • If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point. If you stand straight, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or play for a new score every day.
  • Friday is 2XP, which means you double your points – positive or negative.
  • You can keep a running account or just play day by day. Enjoy!

Today’s Wordle Etymology

The word fiercely originates from The 16th century Scots word “heft”.importance weight or weight. “Heft” itself comes from the Old English word bookletmeaning “something held” or “a handle” which is related to raisewhich means to lift or lift something heavy. Over time, fiercely evolved in the 19th century to describe something large, heavy or substantial in size or strength.
