Concertgoers continue to throw objects at entertainers, with Billie Eilish the latest singer to be affected.

The “Birds of a Feather” singer, 22, was performing in Arizona on Friday when she was hit in the face by an object thrown at her from the audience. videos shared on TikTok showed.

The moment came during the performance of Eilish’s Oscar-winning “Barbie” song “What Was I Made For?”. The video showed the Grammy winner stop singing for a moment after being hit by what appeared to be a necklace or bracelet, expressing annoyance before continuing the performance and throwing the object to the left of her.

Some audience members could be heard booing the person who threw the object, and fans berated the fan responsible in the comments of the TikTok clips.

“Why won’t people stop THROWING THINGS away,” one fan wrote. “9/10 things that are thrown are rejected, so if you want them to keep it, just wait until the end of the concert and the workers will collect it.”

Eilish told The Hollywood Reporter last year that she’s “been hit on stage with things for like, literally, six years” because “people just get fired up and it can be dangerous.”

“I have mixed feelings about it because when you’re up there it’s windy,” she added. “But you know it’s out of love and they’re just trying to give you something.”

Several celebrities have been hit by objects thrown at them during concerts, especially over the past year and a half.

In November, Zach Bryan stopped a concert in Washington after someone threw an object at him and hit his guitarist. “Who threw this?” he asked. “Who was it? Does anyone know?” Bryan told fans not to throw things at musicians, adding, “If you guys know who threw it, we can get them out of here if we ever find out who did it.”

In 2023, a man was charged with assault after throwing a phone at Bebe Rexha during a concert, and Kelsea Ballerini stopped a show the same month after a bracelet was thrown at her.

“Somebody threw a bracelet, it hit me in the eye and it scared me more than it hurt me,” Ballerini said at the time. “We all have triggers and layers of fear far deeper than what is shown, which is why I walked off stage to calm down and make sure myself, the band and the crew, and the audience felt safe to continue. “

Harry Styles fans have also thrown objects at the singer on several occasions, and he was hit in the eye with Skittles in an incident in 2022.

Eilish is currently on tour in support of her album “Hit Me Hard and Soft”. She will next perform on Sunday in California and will tour Australia in February.
