1 injured in shooting after argument at Glendale bar

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) – A man is in the hospital Tuesday after being shot following an altercation at a Glendale bar.

Glendale Police responded to the shooting overnight at Swizzle Stick bar at 51st and Olive Avenue.

Officers found a man who had been shot in the stomach. Police officers and paramedics treated the man at the scene and he was taken to hospital.

Police have not disclosed the man’s condition.

The shooting reportedly happened after a verbal altercation between two groups of men inside the business turned physical. Glendale police said shots were fired from the front of the bar and into the building, resulting in the man being shot.

An investigation into this shooting is still ongoing.
