She then reduced the fee by £100,000, but now the Bet Lynch actress has relisted the four-bedroom farmhouse for £1.3 million with a further £100,000 off.

Julie, 82, and her husband have lived in the home, complete with a stable block, for 25 years but are selling up amid her dementia diagnosis.

The ITV star went public with her health struggles last year and made a rare public appearance this summer.

But when she is back at home, she has curled up in her very unique pillow.

The stunning property has stables, wrought iron gates framed by two golden eagles and, for Coronation Street fans, even has its own paving stones on the driveway.

Interior photos on real estate website Zoopla show Julie’s love of leopard print evident among the furniture.

The open kitchen is the perfect place to host with an open design and wooden island.

A large table placed in the middle allows for large family gatherings.

A fireplace and chandeliers adorn the living room in one of the four reception rooms, while an impressive oak staircase provides a dramatic entrance upstairs.

Four bathrooms mean there is plenty of space, while an airy conservatory offers views over the 15 hectares of land.

HARD TIMES

Soap icon Julie – whose Corrie character Bet was the former feisy Rovers return hostess – left fans shocked last year when she announced through her husband Scott Brand that she had been diagnosed with dementia.

Corrie’s most famous villains

  • Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) – arguably the most famous villain in soap history. The character has several kills to his name. Richard left his former business partner Duggie Ferguson (John Bowe) for dead before murdering his ex-wife Patricia (Annabelle Apsion), who threatened to expose his dodgy dealings. He tried to kill his mother-in-law Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) by setting her house on fire. He later killed his colleague Maxine Peacock (Tracy Shaw) after she caught him trying to beat Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire) with a crowbar. He eventually confessed his crimes to Gail (Helen Worth) before driving the Platt family into the canal. They all survived, but Richard drowned.
  • Mad Maya (Sasha Behar) – She may not have the most kills to her name, but no true Corrie fan will be able to forget ‘Mad Maya’s’ stay. Maya Sharma first started as an innocent lawyer. But her true nature was revealed when she kidnapped Tyronne’s () dog and threatened to kill Dev Alahan () unless he proposed. Things quickly turn ugly when Sunita () receives the news that she has a brain tumor. The couple rekindle their romance and end up getting married. However, Maya ruined their big day by reporting Sunita to the police for bigamy. Not done there, she plans to kill them both as she sets fire to Dev’s entire shop empire and traps them both upstairs after she sets fire to the corner shop with the gas and stove on. When they are miraculously saved, she tries to run them over.
  • Pat Pheelan (Connor McIntyre) – Pat was introduced as an acquaintance of Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) before embarking on a revenge plot. He sets up a fraudulent estate scheme that caused the death of Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis). He kidnapped Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) and Vinny Ashford (Ian Kelsey). This was before he framed his arch nemesis Anna Windass for GBH after he pushed Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) off a ladder. He then murdered both Any as well as Luke Britton (Dean Fagan). He eventually met a gruesome end when he held most of the residents of the street hostage in the bistro. He was stabbed by Anna Windass after he shot Michelle (Kym Marsh).
  • Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) – Starting off as the innocent father of Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), Geoff was a local Weatherfield celebrity due to his radio show and ‘The Great Magnifico’ magic act. He later began a romantic relationship and married Yasmeen (Shelley King). However, he had a nasty streak where he controlled her in every way. He made sure she depended on him for everything, including financially, he constantly bullied and belittled her, locked her in the magician’s box despite being claustrophobic, and he even forced her to eat his own pet chicken. Later she snapped and stabbed him in the throat. That was before she was arrested for attempted murder. But those closest to him soon discovered his true nature and turned against him. He tried to sabotage the trial by threatening his ex-wife, but she stood up to him in an epic legal battle. After Yasmeen was released, Geoff died shortly after setting fire to their home and falling from the roof.
  • Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) – Kirsty was first seen on Corrie on a night out when Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain) paid her to flirt with Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). Later she makes her interest very clear and they end up together. After she is fired from her job as a policewoman, Tyrone gets her a job at the Underworld factory as a packer. She is completely horrified and she lashed out at Tyrone with a ladle. Kirsty apologized and Tyrone pretended to all his friends that the injuries were accidental. However, this pattern continued. Over several incidents, she forces him against a door, smashes the household’s plates and pictures, crushes him after hitting him with a vacuum cleaner, throws a candlestick at his head, and locks him in the house. But once she tried to hit him, but she lost her balance and fell down the stairs. She lies to the police and says that it was Tyrone who hit her. Tyrone was jailed after he breached bail when he went on the run with his daughter. During the trial, she struggles to care for baby Ruby. She throws a cup at Julie (Katy Cavanagh) before revealing her own behavior by punching her. Kirst then stormed into the courtroom and confessed that she was the monster, not Tyrone.

At the time, her husband said in a statement: “My beloved wife and I have had to come to terms with this heartbreaking diagnosis.

“Unfortunately, Julie has suffered in oblivion for some time and we have sought medical attention and help, but we now know that there is no hope of a turnaround in the situation – and that her condition will gradually, and perhaps rapidly, worsen. .

“We have made the decision to make the diagnosis public as Julie still loves visiting friends and eating out.

“Inevitably she gets recognized and fans love meeting her – and she them – but she can get confused, especially if she’s tired.

“I hope people will understand.”
