Cameron Menzies reveals he’s wooing darts boyfriend Fallon Sherrock with KFC and claims she’s made him a better player

Cameron Menzies wooed Fallon Sherrock at KFC, but the ‘Queen of the Palace’ has given him the secret recipe for darts fame in return.

The sport’s power couple will both be involved in the PDC World Championships where they will hope their throws are good.

‘Queen of the Palace’ Sherrock rose to fame in 2019 when she became the first woman to beat a man in Ally Pally.

Five years later, the 30-year-old will set up a matchup with darts superstar Luke Littler should she beat Ryan Meikle in the first round.

Despite this, there’s one man she doesn’t want to face across the ocher in her fifth outing in the tournament, and it’s not ‘The Nuke’.

Sherrock is desperate to avoid any clash with girlfriend Menzies – although she wouldn’t be able to stop herself from celebrating if she threw a 180.

She told Online darts: “100 percent. I mean, can you imagine the arguments afterwards? Regardless of who wins.

“Before and after it would just be so nervous. I don’t think it would be a good fight for anybody to watch because we’d both be pretty nervous and stuff.

“I know everyone wants to see it, but there would be a lot of nerves in it. I don’t think it’s a great thing that everyone wants to see it. Put me up against any other player, I’ll be fined.

“Obviously I’m not going to tell you the conversations we have, but I always back up and he always backs himself up.

“Hopefully we never have to see it on TV. I don’t mind it on a floor game, but hopefully not on TV. We practice (together) and even then it gets a little nervous.

“Can you imagine that on TV? You’d see all the emotions, and I think even if I hit 180, I’d probably celebrate a little bit.”

Sherrock’s performances at the PDC Women’s Series earned her her place at the Ally Pally, while Menzies qualified through the Pro Tour Order of Merit.

The latter, which fits his schedule around his job as a plumber, has rocketed to stardom since a KFC date in 2021.

The Scottish ace told the sun: “Covid was a tough time for a lot of people. I didn’t pick up a dart, I hated it. I started playing golf instead. It was the only thing we could play because it was outside.

“Covid was a bad time. I lost my love for darts. When it calmed down and the darts came back, that’s when I started watching Fallon. Then the darts were crazy. Practice all the time and it definitely helped.

“We were friends for years, and then I was down in the Modus series. On the way back up we got something to eat that day.

“We were just friends but that was the start of it. It was a KFC. It was her choice, she likes a KFC.”

So was it love rather than a bargain bin? “It was just a couple of mini fillets. Love at first sight!” Menzies added.

Three years into their relationship, Menzies continues to be inspired by his pioneering other half competing in a male-dominated sport.

He told Sky Sports: “We enjoy our training together and she is a very classy player.

“She has done well at darts in general and knocks in 90 averages and 100 averages, the same as many women.

“I’m quite lucky, I have a very good partner who can play darts.

“It’s fine in the house unless she hits me and I have to cook. I don’t like it when she hits me.

“I’ll be rooting for her left, right and centre. I’m her biggest fan.

“I might be a bit harsh, but I know how good she is. I’ve known her for a very long time and I know she’s very, very good.

“She has taken me places I would never have experienced because of darts, so I am a very lucky person.

“I’m her biggest fan and I wish her all the best.”
