LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Rounds of rain will dominate our Monday forecast; the rain can sometimes be locally heavy and cause travel problems. When the rain falls, wind gusts near 35 MPH are possible. Today’s rain sweeps out of the region this evening as a cold front pushes east. Widespread rainfall of 1-2 inches is expected. Clouds will clear early tomorrow morning as temperatures drop into the 30s.

We will have sunny skies and mild temperatures on Tuesday. Highs climb into the 50s tomorrow afternoon. Clouds will increase tomorrow evening before rain returns on Wednesday morning. The rising clouds and possible rain will limit overnight lows to the 40s.

Chances of rain look best Wednesday morning before we gradually dry out in the second half of that day. We will be significantly colder to end the week. Highs in the 30s are expected through the weekend.
