The NFL is ready to hang up Week 15 and do it in style with a “Monday Night Football” doubleheader. We’re heading into the home stretch of the season, but the playoffs aren’t on the minds of many tonight. Only that one Vikings is in a playoff spot heading into Monday.

The Falcon find themselves with slim hopes, while the Bears and Raiders preparing to watch the postseason unfold from their couch. But with fantasy implications and more, there’s no reason we can’t be set for a great night of action on the gridiron.

Here’s everything to know about the “Monday Night Football” matchups for Week 15.

Who is playing Monday Night Football tonight?

There are two Monday night games to conclude Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season. Here are the games on the menu:

Vikings vs. Bears

  • Location: US Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minn.

The Vikings will host the Bears as they continue to try to track down the Lions in the NFC North. It’s a matchup we just saw in Week 12, with Chicago’s comeback effort falling short. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams staged a 17-point 4th quarter, only to see his team lose 30-27 in overtime.

Now he will try to get revenge and deal a blow to the Vikings’ hopes of claiming a division title. However, that would require the Bears to slow down a Vikings offense that is running like a well-oiled machine this season. Sam Darnold having a career year at the right time and just threw five touchdowns in a Week 14 win. The soon-to-be free agent appears poised to cash in this offseason, though it’s unclear if it will be in the Twin Cities.

Armed with two eye-catching receivers, Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addisonand quality players sprinkled throughout the offense, Minnesota is a handful to defend while having a fresh defense.

Conversely, the Bears are still sorting through a season of change after several coaching moves. Thomas Brown handles the temporary duties, but all the moving parts make Chicago look lost. Early returns in Week 14 weren’t great, so they’ll look to fix that as the season ends.

Raiders vs Falcons

  • Location: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nev.

The second of two games on Monday night features a pair of spiraling teams. Discretion is advised when looking at the Raiders quarterback room, which is a revolving door of players right now. Injuries have left that cap space in complete disarray as Vegas moves closer to potentially getting the first pick in April’s draft.

Unfortunately for their opponents on Monday, the Falcons aren’t in much better shape. Kirk Cousins has come back down to earth as the season has progressed, throwing eight interceptions and no touchdowns in the last four games.

Calling rookie Michael Penix Jr. has continued to rise, but there’s no indication that Atlanta is willing to travel down that road just yet. Either way, Monday represents an important game for Cousins, especially since his team has dropped four straight and is out of the playoffs. They have a good chance to start turning their season around in Vegas. Whether it would just be a temporary solution is a story for another day.

Raiders vs Falcons

The Raiders vs. The Falcons game on “Monday Night Football” in Week 15 can be found on ESPN. Arguably the smaller of the two games, Vegas enters with a real chance to own the top draft pick in the upcoming draft. They’re also dealing with an unclear quarterback position, while the Falcons are struggling in their own right. In terms of drama, this game does not appear to be the preferred Monday night.

What time is the Raiders vs. The Falcons game tonight?

Vikings vs Bears Prediction

The last time these two teams met, it was a close game that required overtime. Conventional wisdom says the Bears will naturally struggle away from the friendly confines of Solider Field, playing in one of the more difficult places in the NFL. More importantly, Minnesota will not take their foot off the gas, putting their opponents away instead of allowing a 17-point last quarter.

It’s hard to buy into the fact that all those coaching changes are a benefit to the Bears in the short term. They’re already losers of seven straight, and that won’t change in Week 15. After suffering a 25-point loss in San Francisco, Chicago won’t be able to contain all the weapons on the Minnesota side. Addison and TJ Hockenson is poised for big days at the office, but Chicago steals a late touchdown to make the score look more respectable. Vikings 31, Bears 17

Raiders vs Falcons Prediction

This game profiles as one to watch when the other is in a commercial. It’s ugly. It may even fall behind other network options like “NCIS” or “Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Opry” on Monday nights. The Raiders are bad, but Cousins might look even worse. Antonio Pierce’s Vegas team can be fresh at times, but after losing Maxx Crosby for the season, it’s hard to imagine that will be the case this week.

The Falcons are the team with something to play for, even if those hopes feel like a long shot now. Cousins should be able to get enough to snap the touchdown streak in a game that has a decent margin of victory on the score sheet. Falcons 23, Raiders 10
