Lions throw TD to offensive tackle Dan Skipper vs. Bills

DETROIT — After two touchdowns at home, the Detroit Lions needed a spark before the break against the Buffalo Bills.

Detroit pulled from their endless back of tricks when offensive lineman Dan Skipper checked in as eligible, then caught a short pass from quarterback Jared Goff before bursting into the end zone.

Skipper’s nine-yard touchdown at 3:01 of the second quarter helped the Lions close the gap to 21-14.

The Lions are the only team with more receiving touchdowns by a non-running back, wide receiver or tight end this season, according to ESPN Research.
