The Lions cornerback suffers a gruesome injury to his lower leg

Detroit Lions Cornerback Khalil Dorsey suffered a gruesome injury to his lower left leg late in the second quarter against the Buffalo Bills.

Dorsey defended a third-and-goal play from the Lions’ 6-yard line. He collided with Buffalo running back Ty Johnson and Detroit linebacker Ezekiel Turner while in coverage on a crossing route.

Dorsey’s foot was turned around as he fell backwards to the ground.

Players from both teams knelt around Dorsey in support as he was tended to by the Lions’ medical staff.

Dorsey was airlifted and taken to the locker room.

Dorsey was in the game for injured Carlton Davis, who was in the locker room being evaluated for a concussion with a jaw injury.
