Adam Sandler makes a surprise appearance with Chris Rock

Adam Sandler appeared in one Saturday Night Live sketch together with your partner SNL alum Chris Rock, with Sandler playing a patient and Rock a surgeon.

The operation to remove an appendix is complicated by nurse Linzley (Sarah Sherman), who first fills out a form incorrectly, meaning the patient’s gallbladder is removed instead. An AirPod belonging to Linzley also ended up inside him. However, Linzley takes responsibility for the error.

“Oh my God!” she says, realizing her mistake. “Okay. I just want to own it. It was me.”

Rock doesn’t react harshly, mainly due to the urgency of the situation. And also he says, “When she cries, she sounds like a Victorian ghost.”

The patient arrives and Rock removes his blanket to reveal Sandler.

Rock and his colleagues are surprised, but they shouldn’t be, says Sandler.

“Of course I’m awake because I haven’t had enough anesthesia,” he mumbles.

Linzley says this mistake, believe it or not, is one she had no part in. Sandler, outraged, isn’t buying it.

“We all know it was you, Linzley!” he says, encouraging her to do it anyway.

“And I heard you talking to her, and it’s not okay,” he continues as a huge splash of blood hits the wall behind him.

“Is Linzley annoying? Yes. If she was a guy, would I punch her in the face? Yes. If I were a woman, would I punch her in the face? Without a doubt,” he says.

“But every workplace needs a Linzley—an annoying co-worker to pick on. If it wasn’t her, it would be you, Nurse Michelle. Or you, unnamed male nurse,” he continues, spewing each (Ego Nowdim and Bowen Yang ) with his burst artery. “Or you, not sure what your role in this sketch is,” he says to Emil Wakim. “But so glad you’re getting airtime. Good luck. Hope your parents are proud of you.”

“If something were to go wrong, I have a stack of money buried at this address,” Sandler tells them all. But before he can get the address out, he dies.

The culprit? Linzley, who pulled the cord so she could charge her AirPods.

“Wait,” she asks, “are you guys mad at me?”
