Arkansas basketball heads south this afternoon for its annual game at North Little Rock’s Simmons Bank Arena, this time against an in-state rival.

The Razorbacks (8-2) will face Central Arkansas on Saturday afternoon. It will be just the ninth meeting between the two schools from the Natural State, with the Hogs holding an 8-0 advantage over the Bears.

Arkansas is coming off a signature performance Tuesday night in an 89-87 win over No. 14 Michigan. Arkansas erased a 15-point first-half deficit, then squandered an 18-point second-half advantage and held on for the close victory inside New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Central Arkansas (2-7) has lost three straight games, including the last two against Little Rock and Arkansas Pine-Bluff.
