When you think of a quality opponent in college basketball, your mind inevitably goes to the state of Texas. Right? Yes, mine too. And yet…Purdue will face a tough SEC opponent today in the Aggies from Texas A&M. They came in 17th in the nation with losses to UCF and Oregon. Not exactly who you expect them to lose to, but hey, it happens.

This one is part of the Indy Classic, which replaced the Crossroads Classic, which replaced the Wooden Tradition, and so on and so forth. Purdue always wants to play at least one game in Indianapolis. That’s great for exposure in the state’s largest media market, and you hope you can get some eyeballs from the local high school talent.
