The final match of the US Women’s Championship tournament is set after Bayley is eliminated

This week’s (December 13) episode of SmackDown featured the semi-final round of the US Women’s Championship tournament.

Michin defeated Tiffany Stratton in the opening match of the night. The finish was a little lopsided here as there appeared to be some contact on a Stratton moonsault that Michin probably had to avoid. Michin no sold it and put Stratton away with his finisher right after that to advance in the tournament.

The other semi-final match saw Chelsea Green come through and eliminate Bayley who looked like the favorite to go all the way. Piper Niven interfered on Green’s behalf throughout the match. They teased a counter to Bayley, only for her to roll back into the ring at the last second, but fell victim to Green’s finisher for the pin.

The final match of the tournament is now set for tonight (December 14) Saturday night’s main event on NBC. Michin defeated Chelsea in a Dumpster match back in October, so maybe it’s time for Green to settle the score and become the first US female champion.
