Chart-topping singer cancels Pa. Christmas show hours before the concert was supposed to start

All she wants for Christmas is you. Unless she gets sick.

Just hours before it was due to start, singer Mariah Carey was forced to cancel her Wednesday Christmas concert at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh due to illness.

“Pittsburgh, I’m sorry to say I’ve come down with the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show. I love you all so much,” Carey said on X.

According to Ticketmaster, anyone who purchased a ticket for the show will be refunded within 14-21 days.

Ticket holder Natalie Jaskowski expressed her disappointment to WPXI and said: “We’ve been talking about this for weeks now, so we were really excited, especially leading up to today.”

Carey’s next scheduled stop is in Newark, NJ on December 13th.
