Mariah Carey will open the show on NFL Christmas Gameday on Netflix

The holidays are synonymous with twinkling lights, happy news, and the arrival of a pop superstar who rings in the season on a high note — and the first few bars of a certain inescapable Christmas tune. So it’s only fitting that Mariah Carey opens the show on the first ever NFL Christmas Gameday live on Netflix on December 25th.

The globally recognized artist, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, author and philanthropist with more than 19 no. 1 singles to his name will bring his signature blend of glamor and Christmas cheer ahead of the marquee battles.

When will Mariah Carey perform at the NFL Christmas Gameday?

Fresh off her biggest and most spectacular Christmas tour to date, Carey is set to dazzle fans this year with a recorded performance of her record-breaking single, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” On December 9, the perennial holiday track extended its unprecedented reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 to a 15th cumulative week, fueled by massive streams, airplay and sales as the holiday season reaches its peak. The song also regained the no. 1 on Billboard’s Holiday 100 chart, confirming Mariah’s status as the Queen of Christmas.

Her NFL Christmas Gameday performance airs ahead of the live games: the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET, and the Baltimore Ravens take on the Houston Texans at 4:30 PM ET. Carey isn’t the only music superstar you’ll be able to watch on Netflix that day: Beyoncé will perform in her hometown of Houston during the Ravens-Texans halftime.

Be there with (jingle) bells on.
