The 34-year-old rocker covered the iconic Wham! track during his best premiere performance, which aired on December 11 and is now available on Peacock. Holding a red guitar on stage, MGK sang, “Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away.”

“This year, to save me from tears,” he continued, “I’m going to give it to someone special.”

It’s unclear whether the holiday special was filmed before or after his split from Fox, which was first reported Tuesday.
