Taylor Swift visits Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City

Days after Taylor Swift wrapped up her record-breaking Eras Tour, the pop superstar visited some of her younger fans at a children’s hospital in Kansas City.

On Thursday, Dec. 12, the “Karma” singer dropped by Children’s Mercy Hospital, leaving staff, patients and their families shocked — and thrilled.

In one Instagram post shared by one of the hospital’s pediatric nurses, Swift, 34, posed for a smiling group photo with hospital staff.

“TAYLOR SWIFT WAS IN THE PROCEDURAL SEDATION UNIT Best day ever!!!” she captioned the post.

A woman named Anita Belt also shared cute photos of Swift visiting a patient named Rylie Facebook. At one point, the Grammy winner gave Rylie a signed copy of her memoir Eras Tour.

“Children’s Mercy Hospital does their best to care for seriously ill children, comfort the family and bring some joy when they can. Today did not disappoint! Thank you Taylor Swift for bringing some joy to Rylie today!!” Belt captioned her post, which included a photo of Swift giving the camera her best selfie face. “Great way to bring a smile and make a memory!”

IN a picture with another patientSwift smiled as she held up a blanket that read “Go Taylor’s Boyfriend.” The blanket was a nod to Swift’s Kansas City Chiefs star beau Travis Kelce, who didn’t attend her hospital visit and was likely at football practice.

The “Fortnight” singer had a sweet conversation about Kelce with another patient as she signed a copy of her book, with the young patient informing Swift, “I like Travis now.”

“Yeah, me too,” Swift replied. “That’s an absolute yes on that one. Is he your favorite player?”

After the patient responded that her favorite players were Kelce and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Swift replied, “Good. Those are good answers. You can do this.”

Swift too filmed a TikTok to her song “Bad Blood” at the hospital, which was posted on the social media platform with the caption: “Boy ain’t no way I (just) woke up and tripped out with Taylor Swift.”

Another woman named Melissa Nuzum shared photos of Swift with a patient named Baylee Facebookand wrote that she had “the coolest, most unexpected surprise ever.”

She gave Baylee a signed copy of her Eras Tour book and accepted a gift from Baylee (a diamond art picture) as well”

Nuzum added that she was “crying because it’s wonderful to see my girl smile so much knowing the pain she’s been in.”

In another video shared on TikTokhospital staff wished Swift – who turns 35 on Friday, December 13 – a happy birthday as she said goodbye.
