Taylor Swift agrees to attend Selena Gomez’s wedding party

LOS ANGELES (TNND) — Taylor Swift will apparently have a role in Selena Gomez’s as-yet-unplanned wedding — or so it seems.

Gomez announced Wednesday she and Benny Blanco just got engaged. In an Instagram post, she shared a photo of Blanco kissing her as a diamond ring sparkles on her left hand.

“forever begins now..” she wrote in the caption.

The post also included a close-up of the ring, as well as a shot of Gomez admiring the diamond.

Swift, who is one of Gomez’s closest friends, was one of many to comment on the post. In fact, she seemed to suggest that the couple already asked her to join the wedding party.

“Yeah, I want to be the flower girl,” Swift remarked.

Of course, Swift probably made a funny joke to celebrate her boyfriend’s announcement.

Several other celebrity fans also sent their congratulations, with rapper Lil Nas X, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lily Collins and Padma Lakshmi offering well wishes to the newly engaged duo.

Gomez, 32, and Blanco, 36, went public with their relationship about a year ago after collaborating on a few songs, as he is a music producer and songwriter. The two worked together on the 2019 hit “I Can’t Get Enough,” which also featured J Balvin and Tainy.

In 2018, Blanco released her first song – “Eastside” – featuring Khalid and Halsey, and the trio performed it at the 2018 American Music Awards.

Among the songs he is credited as a writer and producer are Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”, Kesha’s “Tik Tok”, “Circus” by Britney Spears and Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger”.

Gomez, a pop star and actress, was a Golden Globe double nominee on Monday for her roles in “Emilia Pérez” and “Only Murders in the Building.”

In 2020, Gomez started the Rare Impact Fund and her Rare Beauty line of cosmetics, pledging to donate 1% of all sales to the fund to help expand mental health services and education for youth.
