Kluck Planteskole closes early for the Christmas tree season

SAGINAW CO., Mich. (WNEM) – A Saginaw County nursery and garden store is closing for Christmas tree season this weekend.

Kluck Nursery, located at 1020 Van Wormer Road, announced Wednesday, Dec. 4 that it will close for the Christmas tree season on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. 17. In addition, the select and cut field closes on Thursday, December. 5, at 5:30 p.m

The nursery said it is closing because of tree shortages it is experiencing this year and the past few years, higher-than-expected sales, and so it can prepare for future years’ sales.

“This is not a decision we took lightly, but we had to do it to help so we don’t continue to go backwards with our Christmas tree inventory,” the nursery said.

Customers can still purchase fresh, pre-cut trees, wreaths and garland at the main office on Friday 6th December from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“We’re not going anywhere! We’ve been increasing our tree plantings every year. It just takes 10 years to get these trees ready for sale,” said Kluck Nursery.

The nursery said it understands any frustration and apologizes, but thanks its customers for their understanding and continued support.
