The Golden State Warriors will have the unique opportunity to avenge their latest loss with Sunday night’s rematch against Minnesota Timberwolves. The match will be played at 5:30 PM PT in San Francisco and can be seen on NBC Sports Bay Area.

After snapping their five-game losing streak with an impressive performance on Thursday, the Warriors couldn’t sustain the momentum as they fell 107-90 to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. The loss, which came in the second half of a back-to-back, was highlighted by a season-high 22 turnovers on the night. The sloppy play underscored Golden State’s ongoing struggles offensively, as the need for reliable scoring options beyond Steph Curry — who led the team with 23 points — becomes increasingly pressing.

What to watch tonight:

Head coach Steve Kerr chose a new starting lineup Friday, keeping Jonathan Kuminga at power forward while moving Draymond Green to the bench in his first game back from a calf injury. Kuminga impressed with a career-high 33 points Thursday, but struggled in Friday’s contest, finishing with 13 points on 6-of-15 shooting. Despite the inconsistency, the Warriors plan to stick with Kuminga in the starting five to build his confidence and preserve Green’s minutes.

Steve Kerr said he would like to keep Draymond Green off the bench in the near future. He said they are trying to “maximize” Jonathan Kuminga and not “wear down” Draymond Green. The plan is to close halves with Green in the center. Andrew Wiggins’ ankle injury could complicate the puzzle.

Adding to Golden State’s challenges are injuries to Warriors wings Andrew Wiggins and Moses Moody. Both left Friday’s game early and are listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game.

The Timberwolves’ fifth-ranked defense played a significant role in Friday’s result, utilizing their length and athleticism to disrupt the Warriors’ offensive flow. Golden State shot a dismal 28.2% from beyond the arc (11-of-39). If the Warriors hope to be more competitive heading into tonight’s rematch, they will need to shoot the ball better and focus on limiting turnovers.
