NYPD releases new photos of suspected killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson

New York Police Department (NYPD) has released two new photographs of the suspected killer UnitedHealthcare‘s CEO with a photograph showing him sitting in the back seat of a taxi on the day of the shoot.

The killer who shot Brian Thompson outside Manhattan’s New York Hilton Midtown on Wednesday has still not been arrested despite an extensive manhunt that stretches beyond New York City’s borders.
A photograph shows the unidentified suspect looking out from the back seat, wearing a blue surgical mask, dark headgear and a black hood. The second photograph, taken through glass, shows him walking down the street wearing identical mask attire, a black puffer coat and hooded hood.
The suspect boarded a taxi around 7 a.m. Wednesday on the Upper West Side shortly after Thompson’s shooting, according to police reports. The suspect traveled north to a bus station near the George Washington Bridge, potentially aboard an interstate bus.
These images are recent additions to evidence as authorities analyze thousands of hours of surveillance to understand the suspect’s movements. They also discovered bullet casings at the crime scene marked “deposit,” “reject” and “delay” — potentially referring to insurance claim avoidance terminology.
Earlier, police located a backpack in Central Park on Friday, potentially discarded by the suspect as he biked from the scene of the shooting toward the Upper West Side before taking a taxi. However, they had not yet officially confirmed the backpack’s ownership or its investigative significance.
