Kentucky Volleyball dispatched Minnesota in one NCAA tournament second round match Friday. UK won in four sets: 25-11, 23-25, 25-22, 26-24.

With the win, the Wildcats and longtime coach Craig Skinner earned a spot in the regional semifinals for the fifth time in six years. After Friday’s four-set win, UK is 22-7 on the season. Minnesota finishes the 2024 campaign with a 21-11 record.

Kentucky hit .326 as a team, holding Minnesota to a .223 percentage.

UK’s Brooklyn DeLeye had a match-high 22 kills, and teammate Emma Grome led with 51 assists. Minnesota’s Zeynep Palabiyik led all players with 15 digs.

Kentucky will face Missouri in next week’s regional semifinals.

Great Britain tops Minnesota in four sets (25-11, 23-25, 25-22, 26-24).

The Wildcats won the last three points to take a 14-12 advantage in the fourth set.

UK need 11 more points to win the set and the match.

UK won the third set, 25-22.

The Wildcats are now up two sets to one. Kentucky needs to win just one more set to advance to the NCAA Tournament semifinals.

It was close throughout the second set. But the Golden Gophers win, 25-23, to tie the match at one set apiece.

It’s a best-of-three game now for a spot in the regional semifinals.

Minnesota does much better in the second set. But Kentucky still has the edge so far at 13-11.

UK wins 25-11 in the opening set of tonight’s match.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead and captured eight of the first nine points.

They lead 15-5.
