SCHOOL BUS WITH SNOW




Yesterday’s storm has left the area with slick roads and low temperatures, resulting in some schools in the Local 6 region opening after a delay, closing or holding non-traditional school days.

Kentucky

Livingston County Schools will be operating on a 2-hour delay and without morning preschool. The school states that this will allow “bus drivers, parents, student drivers, faculty and staff to drive during daylight hours and the roads can be improved.”

Lyon County Schools will also be operating on a 2-hour delay, with classes beginning at 10.00 a.m. and delivery starting at 9.00, without morning preschool.

Crittenden County Schools announced that they will cancel school and have this be NTI Day 2 and are requesting that students complete Day 2 work in their packets. Teachers will be available via email for any questions.

Union County Public Schools announced it will close the school as well as its Apples Childcare Center. This will be an NTI day and students will complete the activities assigned by their teachers for NTI Day 1.

Hopkins County Schools announced that they will be closed and this will be an HCS@Home Day and are asking students to complete their HCS@Home Day 1 assignments.

Webster County Schools announced that they will be closed and that today will be an NTI/Link2Learn day.

Trigg County Public Schools announced that they will be closed for in-person instruction, but that students must complete Day 1 of their NTI assignments. However, Trigg Tots is open from 9am to 3pm today.

Illinois

Gallatin Community Unit School District 7 announced they will be closed today.

Pope County Schools announced they will be closed and activities scheduled for today will be postponed.
